Training Program on Corporate Governance: Supervision and Enforcement

The Union of Arab Securities Authorities and the Securities and Commodities Authority of UAE will hold a training program on Corporate Governance: Supervision and Enforcement at SCA’s headquarters in Dubai on 20-21/12/2017. The program aims to shed light on the recent international developments related to the principles of governance, including the review of the corporate governance rules issued by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and its implementation in a number of countries. It will also review ways to strengthen regulatory authorities’ supervision especially with regard to conflicts of interest and related party transactions disclosure, and the importance of having an effective framework for enforcement.
This program represents a part of the UASA Strategic Plan 2016 – 2020 approved by the Board of the Union last year. Within the framework of capacity building pillar, the plan aimed to hold series of training programs and workshops to contribute in developing the regulators supervisory capacities and to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness.
