GEM COMMITTEE ANNUAL MEETING

The IOSCO Growth and Emerging Markets Committee (GEM) held its annual meeting on the 18th of December 2024 in Ankara, Turkey, with participation of the Committee’s members, a number of the UASA members and the UASA General Secretariat represented by the Secretary General of the Union.

The Committee discussed a number of issues related to sustainable finance in emerging markets. The IOSCO Chairman provided an update to the Committee in this regard in addition to the work of the sustainability working group. The Committee also discussed market development in emerging markets for its members. The General Secretariat gave an overview of the next steps and programs following the final report on capacity building. The (GEM) Committee launched a dedicated network to support its members in the adoption of (ISSB) standards in their local jurisdictions.
